Continued Dealings with HR

The conference call went just as expected,You are going to be in a war zone, you could die, 1 year open ended contract, you can leave at any time, we can fire you at anytime, for any reason.

Some reasons for immediate termination,

1. being caught with alcohol.

2.Possessing a firearm

3. Drugs

4. insubordination

5. refusing to go on a mission

A bunch of other information as to the physical, ie; no diabetes, high blood pressure ect...

I have to take a personality test to make sure that I play well with others and get my dentist to sign off on a form stipulating that I can go a year with out treatment.

A bunch of boilerplate, covering their asses, The exact same thing I went through last time.

All in all, just what I expected.

Ahh, HR. Always too much fun to deal with ...

Will you have any regular connectivity? Keep the rubber side down over there and check-in when you can.

Personality test? Hmmm. "1 of 12 siblings...uncle to 52, great uncle to 16...". Play well with others? Maybe, maybe not. I guess they're so busy they misplaced your last test, unless they think some monumental change could have taken place.

Thank you for the update, though. Be sure to answer those questions in the exact same order as the last test, otherwise they really will think something's odd!

You can't carry a gun with you while you are driving? I know you have monster security escorts, but still....that seems a little more than extreme to me, given where you'll be and what you'll be transporting.

When I left the last time, the powers that be were installing highspeed internet.

we have internet cafe's throughout the country that I can access for 1/2 an hour at a time.

A breaurcracy being what it is, I have to do every thing over Deborah,
but I get to keep my employee number, for seniority purposes.

Kris, a gun isn't going to help me in an IED attack, and I do carry a very big knife, That being said, my job is to drive the truck and maintain the proper interval betwix myself and the guy in front of me.

We almost never stop rolling, once we clear the gate.

Exceptions are vehicle breakdown, road going "Black",and a leg stretch/piss break about halfway to Kuwait in the middle of the desert.
